Description

Fibreglass stockinette for use as reinforcement material in the lamination of orthoses and prosthetic components. The material is pulled over the model together with resin and other reinforcement materials to increase stiffness and stability in the finished laminate.

The fibreglass stockinette has a coarse, open structure that provides good resin absorption and contributes to high strength in the construction. It is often used as extra reinforcement in rigid laminates, especially in areas where high stability is required. The material is elastic and conforms easily over the model, making work in the workshop smooth and efficient. The so-called “ladder-proof” structure reduces the risk of runs or damage to the stitches during handling.
