Description

The ASTI-OP series is a well-proven range of rigid PU foams (polyurethane foams) developed specifically for orthopaedic applications. The series offers several densities, making it possible to choose the right material based on requirements for weight, strength and workability. The products have been used in orthopaedic manufacturing for many decades and have been continuously developed to deliver high quality and good production economy.

Available densities

ASTI-OP 700
The most stable and rigid foam in the series. Suitable for positive models and workpieces exposed to high mechanical loads, such as lasts for shoes and insoles, and toe fillers.

ASTI-OP 500
The most widely used variant in orthopaedic shoemaking. Combines good stability with relatively low weight and is well suited to many types of models and workpieces. Very good nailability.

ASTI-OP 300
A lighter rigid foam that is easy to sand and work. Used for thermoforming models and cosmetic prosthetic covers, among other things.

ASTI-OP 200
A very light rigid foam with low density and a high expansion factor. Used when low weight is a priority.

ASTI-OP 100
The lightest foam in the series. Very easy to sand but has limited mechanical strength, and is mainly used where low weight and easy working are more important than strength.

Used in combination with ASTI B hardener.
