Description
UTX full-leg orthoses are available in Free, Swing, and Stable designs. Depending on the patient’s needs and capacity, a function is selected using the UTX Selection protocol. UTX Swing gives the patient the prerequisite to walking with a relatively normal walking pattern, despite muscular or neurological impairments. The basic principle is that the orthosis locks the knee joint and stabilizes the leg in a loaded position, unlocks automatically during the swing phase for normal walking, and provides a dorsal lift of the foot if necessary. The UTX Swing and Free is also very effective to help prevent hyperextension in the knee.
